Academic Structure
The Master in Multimedia is a two year on-line programme (according to current national regulations) involving course-work and a graduation thesis that is made up of a written thesis of at least 20,000 words and a practical component.
Each year's curricula are divided into two semesters. The first three semesters are completely dedicated to lectures and project work, while the fourth semester is divided between internship and master thesis work.
The studies will comply with the Bologna agreement and will be worth 120 ECTS, 90 from course work and 15 internship and 15 the thesis.
Study focus
The Master of Multimedia program has an interdisciplinary approach with on-line courses, tutorials, practical assignments offered by the involved faculties in all the partner institutions.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the programme is open to applicants who possess either:
1. B.Eng. / B.Sc. in electronic engineering, computer science, informatics or an equivalent degree
2. A Bachelor degree in any other subject and with at least 2 years work experience
3. A recognized Diploma with extensive professional or managerial experience
and
4. Proof of proficiency in written and spoken English.
The admission of each student will be analyzed by the Academic Board separately and certain activities (professional experience, training courses) can be recognized with some courses.
Recognition of other studies at post-graduate level in the area of multimedia proved by the students can be recognized as part of the curricula. (e.g the ILE course from Oulu ).
Registration
Registration for the programme will be 1 time / year: in September/October.
Deadline for applications are August.
The students will be enrolled by one university (either in their home country or a partner university abroad) who will register the students and accept the fee.
Tuition Fees
Fees will be established at national and international level.
Tuition fees are established locally, according to the legal conditions in each participating country.
Location
Students will be enrolled in their home country university or a partner university abroad, according to their agreement. Lecturing and tutoring will be mainly offered on-line. There should be at least one face-to-face meeting per semester which should be offered locally, within the registering university or the local support centres. The final thesis defence will be presented locally. The recognition of the diploma will be by an international board and the Certificate will be issued by the partner universities.

On-line platform
The on-line platform used is the Coedu eLearning platform developed by Mimoza kft, from Budapest , Hungary . The environment is on the IMM server located with UPT and comprise on COEDU and the IMM development.
